We are flexible yogis, inside and out.Santa Monica Yoga ScheduleSan Blas Yoga ScheduleFrozen Banana Ice CreamBecause Ashley is pregnant and has the munchies.... :) This is an easy trick for making homemade "ice cream" in a blink of an eye. The trick is to have a really good blender and to eat it right away before it melts. These "ice creams" are dairy free. Dairy when it is cold and sweet, is the most mucus forming food there is, the epitome of kaphagenic, so we avoid this by using frozen banana and almond milk instead. This is an excellent afternoon refreshment. It cools the system quite profoundly, hydrates and give an energy boost while fulfilling the sweet tooth and nourishing the soul's need for
pleasure. V ↓ ↑ P ↓ K ↑ Serves 4
1. Put chunks of banana in the blender and add the cacao, mint, vanilla and spirulina and fill with coconut water or almond milk just below the level of the banana, so some chunks of banana are still poking up, be careful not to add too much or your "ice cream" will be smoothie. 2. Blend well (may need some pulsing and assistance stirring with a wooden spoon). Should be very thick. 3. Add the cacao nibs or chocolate chips and pecans and pulse a few times so these stay chunky 4. Alison has a lovely little space available in her hostel and so after some preparation, we are finally ready to present our cozy space to the public. Esta semana, hemos añadido una clase de meditación el lunes después de la clase CandyLit Slow Flow Vinyasa de Danhel. He's a wonderful meditation teacher and well deserving of any donation you'd like to offer him for leading you through this beautiful meditative journey. This is our teacher Catherine's last week with us at YogaWasi. She is going to continue on in her travels, so please come by and see her one last time before she leaves. She is taking over one of my (Ashley) evening classes in order to be able to say hello and goodbye to her followers. If you haven't had a chance to take a heartfelt and loving class with Catherine, now is your last chance! She can be found at the studio at 9 am on Monday and Friday and at 6 pm on Thursday. We still have Yin Yoga, but now only on Thursday's! If you feel like you need a little more love, affection and rest after Catherine's vinyasa class on Thursday, then please feel free to stay and experience Karen's Yin class. Celebración de Un Mes de Aniversario!¡Gracias a todos los que llegaron a nuestra celebración del primer mes de aniversario! Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso para conocernos, jugar a juegos de yoga y aprender sobre AcroYoga con Danhel e Iregy. Una vez más, gracias a todos por unirse a nuestra familia YogaWasi. Estoy muy agradecida con cada uno de ustedes. Nunca soñé que algún día viviría en Perú, y mucho menos abrir un estudio de yoga aquí. Ha sido un sueño hecho realidad, y espero que encuentren tanta felicidad y paz dentro del estudio YogaWasi como lo hago yo cuando ofrezco clases.
