Alison has a lovely little space available in her hostel and so after some preparation, we are finally ready to present our cozy space to the public. Birthday: November 2nd Languages: German, English, Spanish Hola, my name is Luca. There is something that I realized while in my first yoga class ever about two years ago here in Cusco, Peru... and it is something I have always kept in my mind: That we don't have to believe in our thoughts. Our thoughts can be a great tool, but most of the time they only create problems and fears inside of our head, which are not real. So, what I learned is that we can watch our thoughts like clouds in the sky, which are simply passing by... That we have the capability of being aware of our thoughts, but that we also have the strength to choose whether or not to believe or judge those thoughts. I learned that we need to just watch those thoughts and have faith and trust that things are as they should be and that everything will be fine and will work out for our highest good. These words rang true to me from the very beginning and so I have tried to remember them as often as I can. Reminding myself to have trust and patience helps me in all situations - situations that could typically bring fear or sadness when the outcome or future seems unclear. It's this treasure that I hope to share with you in our classes. After my first class and the inevitable benefits that followed from taking that moment to honor myself, my body and my thoughts, I had a strong desire to know more about Yoga and to lead a more spiritual way of life. After taking part in many different Yoga classes in Peru and Germany, I decided to enroll in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training back in Germany. After my training, I immediately came back to Peru where my heart seems to be calling me, and I am now offering Yoga classes here at YogaWasi - group and private classes founded within Hatha Yoga. I am willing to learn more and to gain more experience every day and I am grateful to you all for the opportunity. A friend of mine and fellow Yoga teacher once told me that Yoga always comes to you when you need it. I myself have had this experience. Before I took my first Yoga class in Peru, I had not been in touch with Yoga a lot. But yoga and its benefits came to me during a time when I really needed it and it continues to do so, even now. Now, I practice Yoga daily and every time I do, I become more aware of the benefits that Yoga brings to me - on an emotional and spiritual level, as well as on a physical one. With every practice I can feel how my mind and my heart opens just a little bit more and how I get a little bit further down my path. I know that there still is a long way in front of me, like for any of us, but I am willing to follow it with all the enthusiasm, all the energy, patience and trust I can. On a slightly less yoga based exchange, what I'd like to share about myself is that I love dancing, music, theatre and writing stories. I am studying psychology in Germany, but I try to come to Peru as often as possible. Maybe it will be possible to stay here one day, which is where I believe I am supposed to be right now. My dream; however, is to share the benefits of yoga wherever I am. I want to create a space where people can come together with positive energy and share their experiences of yoga with each other, in a sacred space. I am looking forward to seeing you soon and I am so grateful for the opportunity to walk this yogic path together with you! QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
